Make sure that when you are looking up parts, that you double check everything, I told Auto Zone my specs, but they still gave me the wrong belt, luckily, I didn't need the new belt.

      A trip to a Harbor Freight or some type of discount tool store will save quite a bit over Home Depot or Lowe’s, for the couple of items that you may need. And if you’re doing this type of project, ie dishwasher repair, then I’m sure they’ll come in handy again.

      you could drill holes in the actual FACE of the panel. You will be able to see them, but you could theoretically get it to work like this. There should be enough space between the dial and the face that a zip tie would not interfere. Something like this image, where the black dots is where you drill holes, and the red lines are zip ties that go all the way behind and hold the switch up against the Face Panel: imgur.com/a/iHBSX7l You could also order a new part, and fix it fully like in this video: ruclips.net/video/A1tlSpuox4Y/видео.htmlsi=7sGZc1zGxnUp_rp1 The part is $140, but is cheaper on eBay (maybe $100)

    Good job on this. I also recommend the use of these panels to save time, labor, expense and other people/ trucks on your property for the work. I installed this in a transition area from concrete to paver with no movement after 7 years. I also have done a 80' x 13' drive and rear patio surfaces with traditional 3.5" and 5" areas of crushed granite, sand and pavers. That is a hell of a lot more work and it still has movement. These pads have held up fine on Clay soil and my only regret is they were not available sooner when I did the much bigger sections. I will be using them again in my front walk and you should too.

    Thanks for a great video. I'm in the middle of building a 25 x 17 patio with a 15 x 8 off to the side of the big one. I big upgrade from my current 19 x 8. This video will help me a lot. My biggest question is how to level the patio as a whole. I have it stringed and can see to low and high spots along the edge but the middle is what concerns me.

    Good enough for the girls I run with. I have the same concerns as you about back breaking labor since I don't do this for a living. I'm too cheap to pay someone the extra money to do it for me because I'm not made of money. I'd love a professional patio, but I also like being able to pay my mortgage. I'm only doing a 12x12 with a budget of about 1500-2000 dollars.

  • @gannet1026
    @gannet1026 14 дней назад

    I used the same system for a paver path going from my driveway to the front steps and it's been 6 years. The only issues I've had with it is pitting on the pavers themselves due to using salt in the winter but this is no fault of the paver base. It still is flat with no waving and looks so much nicer than the concrete walkway that used to be there.

  • @Ian-mv4qq
    @Ian-mv4qq 15 дней назад

    Not me thinking I can do this on my own... it looks technically easy, but not sure if I can actually practically pull it off. What if after you install the paver base then it's about to rain? Is it safe to leave it as is? Or should I cover the area with a tarp? I'm not looking for a perfection, but want to make sure rain won't mess up the base and I have to rework it. Wonderful detailed video btw!

    • @burrheadjr
      @burrheadjr 14 дней назад

      It is ok if it rains on the paver panels, you don't want it to rain directly on the leveling sand that is under the paver panels.

    the surface "weeds" you say you did finally end up encountering a tiny bit is actually just a type of moss 3:45 . It grows those tall bits to try to propagate itself

  • @shutinalley
    @shutinalley 17 дней назад

    The plastic keeps too much water on the surface. With ABC , sand and concreted sides the water filters down into the soil and out. Weeds and moss will always grow between the cracks and in the pores of the pavers. Thats what nature does. Live with it. Stop buying...products.

    2 to 3 inches of crush and run and about 3/4 of sand on top of that, graded with pipes, would have saved you lots of work leveling that dirt. Those plastic panels under pavers looks iffy.
